2025 Golden Ticket Competition Snapshot
Chiesi Global Rare Diseases, in collaboration with the International Society for the Study of Iron in Biology and Medicine (BioIron), is pleased to announce the 2025 Golden Ticket Competition. This opportunity is designed to support early-stage innovators working to advance scientific breakthroughs in iron-related rare diseases, including those in hematology, immunology, and other areas of high unmet need.
Golden Ticket award includes:
- $25,000 USD in funding to support the proposed research (with up to and no more than 10% potentially used by the awardee’s institution for administrative costs)
- Mentorship and guidance from Chiesi experts
The Application Process
August 1, 2025 – Application opens
October 15, 2025 – Application deadline
November 10, 2025 – Finalists notified
November TBH, 2025 – Virtual Final Pitch Event (invitation only)
Eligibility
Applicants must be either:
1. An early-stage startup with fewer than five employees, or
2. A junior academic/postdoc with no more than seven years post-PhD/MD title.

Applicants must submit these items to be considered.
